Most of the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand is laiden with golden lacquer which makes it glimmer on a beautiful sunny day.
The grand palace has been used for monarchy since it's construction began in 1782. Today it is mostly a tourist attraction (the most popular in Bangkok) but it still houses some governmental offices.
